The let me put you with this random dude, Oh yea he is swell guy:biggrin_2556:. LOL. Unless you go on the road with your wife, husband, girlfriend or what ever really really good friend. Then IMO don't go Covenant. It's a sit up to fail.:biggrin_25510:

Con-way Now you should try them. I tried but I was not good enough for them. But Con-way desperately need female drivers so your in. Never heard a driver say anything bad about them. I was even willing to forgo tuition reimbursement to get in with them. Just something to think about there ma'am.

You're right. I had to look back at my notes from when the recruiter came in. After training, you have to run team for 6 months before going solo and the .17 is for that. The only thing that I'm not crazy qbout is teaming with someone I do not know very well and most likely will be as inexperienced as I am. I don't know how well I'd sleep with someone else at the wheel lol. But teaming could be a good thing with the right person. You would have someone right there with you if you were having difficulties with anything and hopefully come to a solution with 2 minds working at it :) I do follow Covenant on Facebook and am impressed with the frequency and quality info in their posts. It does look like they appreciate their drivers.

I've seen quite a few Conway trucks in my area. I'll fill out an app and see what happens. My downfall is lack of current work history. I quit a very good job after 11 years to stay home and raise my daughter. I haven't worked in years and alot of these companies want recent history.

I drove for Covenant when I first started. The solo OTR experience was horrible. The solo dedicated Georgia Pacific was much better. The team OTR was fantastic. They LOVE teams, and as a result, they take real good care of their teams. We got the newest trucks, best dispatchers, and the best treatment. It's been several years, so it could be different these days.

If you have any thoughts on any of the companies I have pre-hires with, I'd love to hear them. Lack of current work history is hurting me, so I may not have much to choose from at first and I am trying to choose from what I have and get thru my first year in and some expereince. Thanks :)

My concern with teams going in is the fact that I wouldn't know the person well at all and hard telling who I may get stuck with. My work ethic is high and I don't want teamed up with someone with poor work ethics, that cuts corners or worse, willing to be unsafe or illegal in anything they do.

I networked and found my own team mate. We were both in our 20s, single, lived near each other, and had all the same likes. Worked great.

Your in school Con-way will take people right out of school, as long as its one of there certified schools. I was fired from a job within the last ten years and that is why I was not able to go with Con-Way. Not the fact that I was out of work for a long time.

As per the recruiter that I was dealing with if you have ever been fired from a job within there 10 year search your out. So Swift I went. Honk Honk !!!!
