Since Wal-Mart is hiring a lot drivers this year, will this affect the current Dedicated Wal-Mart Swift Drivers at the Brundidge Al & Opelika, Al grocery DC`s or any other DC`s across the Nation? Their`s a lot of DC`s in Florida too.

bryan21384 and cmarona463 Thank this. -
Swift does mostly groceries, not dried goods. Walmart drivers don’t do reefers.
Exit310 Thanks this. -
I guess that is why every time I have 'helped out' with Walmart it has always been reefers.
Just one of the reasons I refuse Walmart stuff now.Team818 Thanks this. -
When i help out its been dry vans.
Only pulled readers once and that was out of Corinne utTeam818 Thanks this. -
You are probably talking about the Walmart DC in Oregon. I think, but not sure, that Western Express is also helping out with dried groceries in that DC. What you won’t be pulling is the general merchandise that Walmart drivers are doing. So Swift will pull reefer on frozen/dairy and meat/produce; and sometimes dried groceries/HVDC/remix. Walmart drivers are usually pulling GM and remix.
On a side note, if you are pulling HVDC, that High Velocity in HVDC doesn’t mean you have to drive very fast.... -
I nose rite? Not pulling reefer anymore.Team818 Thanks this.
-
Walmart drivers and Swift drivers are usually not pulling the same cargo so it won’t affect that much.

About 4 yrs ago I pulled surge with swift at the Mccarran NV DC and we did GM
Team818 Thanks this.
