change trainers as needed
prove yourself. deal with what ever stress, adversity.and conditions you encounter.
get your own assigned truck and drop and hook and hire lumpers and go every where until you get a job that pays overtime. or PURCHASE your own truck

You have a crazy man for a trainer no doubt about that.Since you're kind of stuck I would wait till you get to Memphis or the next terminal.Since it's saturday you may have to wait till Monday before you get a load.Maybe dispatch can find another driver in that area that you can ride with that's headed to a terminal.Before accepting your next trainer you should screen him.Meaning does he have a nice truck,does he speak good English,does he shower,does he have patience ect ect.

I'm sitti g in a Swift Truck, its 3:41 a.m. I can smell my Mentor, he picked me up on tuesday 9/30/2014, its the next month 10/4/2024, still no shower or change of clothes, not me, the Swift Mentor. What have I gotten myself I to a hobo camp? This guy yells at me, when I'm double clutching, which makes it worst, its still new to me. This Swift Mentor told me that the place where I trained sucked, although he has never meet them. When I asked about the origin for the hours of service, he said that he didn't care. This dude said that my voice seems to light for a man, yea crazy stuff. Really? It seems that he has a problem readng English as well as speaking it, he tells me that he can explain better in Spanish, I don't speak Spanish. After I called for a other mentor, then shortly after he said that I should call a cab, out here in the middle of nowhere, not much money, then he said that I should ride in the truck to the next terminal, but he continues with the insults, thsts when he o ulls out the knife, I suppose to intimidate me. He continues with this crazy, babbling and that smell is still there. This nasty Truck, I need a mask, to filter out the body odor, its rank. I'm new to trucking, but I'm nobody's hobo, I'm not against getting my hands dirty, but I wash them, I wash me.
I called Swiftagain and informed them about the deterioting situation, I told the Lady about my first call, that I was told to get to Memphis by Monday, thst I have a lot of stuff and Im in the middle of no where, that I never imagined that I would be stranded like this, I told her about bim saying thst the people that trained me suck. Shasked what the truck number was, I told her the number, she asked me to hold, she came back and told me that she had sent the mentor a load to Memphis. I walked back to the truck, the mentor was standing in front of the Qualcomm and said no load, I told him that if he refused the load that they want him to call them, he told me thst this is his truck, b is business, thst it won't benifit him to go to Memphis.

I called Swift support a third time and told them that he refused the load, a Supervisor called him

Its the next day and we are still at this truck stop. I don't know what is gong to happen.

When I reported the problems, immediste steps were taken, so if you are considering Swift, I say go for it, altbough at themoment I don't think thst I'm in a safe environment, because this trainer seems to haven't violent tendencies and mood swings.
This trailner, Mentor is a Swift Owner Operator, supppose that makes a difference.
Hey, I can still smell the odor emmminating from this dude, all over this Truck, don't want to be here
Want to be in this touchy situation, but thats where I find my self, I hope that he will keep his knife in his pocket and not do something stupid, like trying to step this way and fight or cut me, I don't recommend that course of action, naw, I really think thats the wrong thing to do.
I came to Swift because they didnt want me to sign a Contract. He just woke up and called me his friend, must be a morning person.
