Do you want to see pictures of me to see if I have any other reason to be happy with Swift than the fact that I'm just happy and love my job?

    Texas-Nana and JustSonny Thank this.

Am sure Oldnew or someone will be along soon to answer you Peterbuilt. Hubby said it was fairly easy and they do understand that you are testing in a unfamiliar truck and make allowances for it.

Hubby is happy with swift so far. He drives Heavy Haul (scuze me, Cupcake division :biggrin_25522: ). No company is perfect, a good attitude helps. Sometimes nothing helps. One thing I have learned, this is NOT a one size fits all industry.

The truth is: it can vary terminal to terminal. My suggestion is that you call and ask. When I tested out after my mentor period: the test I was given was very different than anyone else I've talked to. In fact it was much harder than testing for my CDL. But I tested out in Denver.

I've heard of drivers coming in with experience and only having to do a 40degree back, or driving around a couple of blocks. I've heard of them being tested more strictly. To be honest I really think as long as you could pass the CDL and back (dock/park) you'll be fine.:biggrin_25525:

    Good luck and welcome aboard!

Hey Nana... those office folks aren't as dumb as we all like to think - to wit - they've got more sense than to mess with a TEXAS-Nana!

Hey Redd, you are a "TRUCKING LEGEND" because you are the only guy that is happy with Swift! As for you standing next to a Swift truck, was that while it was moving? I know they are governed pretty slow.

Sorry man, I couldn't resist! I really don't mean any of that. I know a lot of drivers happy there. I hope you are a joking kind of guy!

its just a simple road test... The same road test you took with the DOT officer when you originally got your CDL.

    Texas-Nana Thanks this.

My hubby started with Swift in April. When he got finished with his mentor and tested I don't think it was that bad. Relax and don't worry about it. You'll do fine.

    Texas-Nana Thanks this.
