I been home 6 days they know I was comming out today from day 1, yesterday I update my mac 10, just to make sure I have a load ready to go, well its been 6 hrs since I'm ready to roll and still can't get a load. If I could choose my own load (from a load board) I know I would have my load info days ago so today I wouldn't be sitting can't get a load.

Here's how I work the parking situation when I get time off. As I'm getting close to 10 hours I start watching billboards and sneaking a peek at the Dat app on my phone. Between 10 and 11 hours I'm usually squeezing my truck into a spot at a truckstop, rest stop or behind a big box store although vacant corner lots in neighborhoods without too much gunfire are good too. I rarely park in the same zip code more than once and 10 to 14 hours after I park I'm underway again. That is unless the local law enforcement comes knocking sooner. Then its the closest place I can get to under 15mph and less than 7/10 of a mile away without shifting out of 3rd gear. That's when highway exit ramps are da bomb!

I've heard about something called hometime where we can park in the same place someplace for days on end but I don't know about that. Doesn't sound normal to me. I've been rolling since February 8th and it would probably feel odd to wake up to a completely cold engine. Now and then I have to sit still for a whole day but I start the engine and pretend I'm not parked so I don't feel weird.

I suspect this is absolutely no help answering the original question but aren't truck drivers supposed to say useful sounding stuff that isn't whether or not it applies to the discussion at hand?
