#### clowns..... no sleep for me tonight

So I talked to her day.. You think I should call next Wednesday, and just tell her I'm ready, and if there is any orientation scheduled yet? Sound good?
-
Sounds like a plan

sounds like a plan if swift is your first choice than do it!

Freightlinerguy, not to be too discouraging, but I've been waiting since late Jan. for a orientation date. And every time I do get a hold of my recruiter, I have to remind her who I am and where I live.
However, part of my problem is that I want flatbed, and there are way less fb mentors.
The only way I've finally gotten one is that I started calling my recruiter about every other day, and I told her I would take a van slot if that got me in sooner. The training person at the Greer terminal has told me that during my 6 weeks with a Mentor, he will switch me to a fb one as soon as one is available. He's also going to put me through the 2 day securement class right after orientation.
Swift cut back, big time, on the number of recruiters they had, so all of them seem a bit overwhelmed.
Just keep calling and bugging her. -
Yeah, call her every 2-3 days. And plan on another physical at orientation.
-
I will call on Tuesday I guess then.. I should call every 2-3 days even though I havent graduated truck driving school yet? Should I still call every 2-3 days to get an orientation scheduled in May? I expect to graduate by May 1st.
-
I'd say call weekly then the week you are graduating start calling every other day.
-
I didn't know you were still in school, it's best to get one thing done before you jump to the next venture. First you graduate from school, then you line up orientation, then you pass the physical, then you pass the pee-pee test, then you pass the background, then you pass the road test, then you get all the paperwork done, then you get a truck assignment and pass the probationary period, that's assuming you, at this point, still think trucking is the cat's meow.
