I'm going to throw a flag on the play here. Swifty can't be responsible for the texting/phoning idiot behind him. And if he didn't punt the van in front then there's no there there either. However, American-Trucker I am going to have to rib you for taking the time to whip out your 35mm and take the 8x10's of the crime scene. The rest of us in that 15 mile parking lot would rather you get past the obstruction without clogging the lane.
Well there are a bunch of us, so of course with a large company you are going to have accidents. I haven't seen a Swift accident yet. But I have seen Mr. Freddie Flatbedder, who flew past me in the snow, in a ditch. And Mr. No name company backwards on I 81 after he flew past me not once, but 5 times. And Mr. UPS on his side after flying past me. And Mr. SAIA on his side, backwards after flying past me in Nevada. Mr. Freddie No Name in NYC crunched into the divider.
You have a point. For sheer numbers of trucks I've seen off the road, FedEx still has a huge lead over everyone else.
Everybody likes to rag on SWIFT. But I sure don't see how this particular one is the fault of the SWIFT driver. Come on guys and gals, SWIFT has enough real screw ups of their own, that we shouldn't have to pick on them when they were NOT the ones who screwed up. Unless of course you figure the driver screwed up just by driving for SWIFT. That one could be argued either way, I suppose. . .
I get the feeling that there are some people on this forum that get upset when a Swift truck pulls into a truck stop and DOESN'T hit anything.
And now that driver will have points on his record!!For doing something right, lol.gotta love our goobberment!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well of course there are! When folks get set to watch a show, and that show never happens, of course they get upset!
Points for what? I read through the CSA tables and I didn't see any points for "not-at-fault, ######### runs into truck."
