The new profession is coming. I have to finish my year that I agreed to for my school. Someone at least has to keep there word. Cr england is a better fit pay wise. 32 to start way better starting wage. 1 year is the magic number and just like most that is what we are shooting for. There is a reason why it's called bottom feeder. Do you really need five raises in a year to get going. Makes you really think why the bs to get to 32 cents to start in a year.

Take it for what it's worth. We all want to be right in our choices regardless of what we choose. Out There on the road is where you will find it. Good luck to you on your path and may your time here at Swift be better than mine. Just don't drink to much of the company cool aide hear it's rough on your stomach.

    Cheers

For you New Drivers you can have a good 1st yr my 1st year I had been driving 4 months before start of the start of the yr and Jan to Dec I made $43,000 my first full yr not to bad if u ask me you gottq pushhard and strive for those loads run run run sleep run run run sleep I did a yr OTR then got on as a surge driver for Walmart average is $900 to $1500 a wk pretty much $1250 average some weeks better some less

You cant go home every 2weeks you have to stay out at m least a month I take 5days off a month all at once works better for me and the family gets me out of the truck longer as well 2days off doesnt cut it for me

The sad part not all new drivers in here will make it this job is not easy as you think its a huge lifestyle change and most people just cant handle it not your fsult this is t a job for everyone thats for sure good luck to you all the mentor weeks a re tbe worst if you can get through ths t and a few solo months you will be fine I hate 1 thing about this job being away from wife n kids so I spend every chance I can to make money I take a 10 then rigb t back at it no time for me unless im on a restart but I think I wss born to be a truck I.love it but.Im just holding out for my 2yrmark to go local as a tanker driver

Orientation is 3days of boring Policys, videos, drug test, physicals, thats about it you will not be hired until day 3 and dont lie about arrest ext we started with 20 people we ended up with. 12 day. 3 due. To drug. Test positive and physicals and charges they lied about.

You are a student so no road test. For you you go with. A mentor then come backand do the test its easy hell I still had issues backing the tester helped me and still sent me out solo

    basscat Thanks this.

There is no road test for a student ONLY if that student went to a Swift school. Any other school graduate and any other non swift experienced driver will have to do a road test at orientation.
