already explained the work well test above. swift doesn't do it anymore. i had a freightliner cascadia and had to hit accelerator when shut down light came on, then idled till you shut engine off. i tell my dl if i'm gonna idle all nite due to not to be charged over percentage. as far as driving more miles than being paid.. yes. drive about 10 percent more than what they pay.( normal for most large companies). i've had a few loads where i got paid more miles than i actually drove but thats not the norm. i beleive they pay zipcode to zipcode and don't know what they call that.
I put my app in yesterday and talked to my recruiter today he's a real nice guy .. He verified everything I just gotta wait now until I turn 23 in October but he said everything else looks good! Just gunna call him in September he kept my app just gotta call him in sept to get me all the way situated! I hope that means I'm in fersure! because I'm excited I just wanna start somewhere!
hope things work out for you. nothings guarenteed till you get your cdl and get thru swifts orientation and get coded( means they assign you a driver number and comdata card). keep yourself out of trouble till then. go to to your dmv office and pickup the commercial drivers handbook and study.
Swift has been one of the worst experiences of my life and i am a marine. They treat you like absolute #### and pay you mcdonald's wages. I knew that going in, and they have served their purpose for me, cdl and experience,,,,,now time to get paid for what i'm worth, and $500 a week aint it.
I see you live in knoxville battle axe. Have you tried changing dms or home terminals? I making decent checks and once you get 6 months in you will start getting raises.
