You did see that this is starting pay right out of school.

Heck, if you have the same experience I do you can come here and get over $.50/mi. That was as of 6 months ago. Do not know what I would make right now as a company driver

 

Swift drivers in the left lane doing 30 mph through the wal mart DC's always seem to have a grin on their face

 

Depending on the DC, they are probably making a pretty little penny, especially if they are new with under 1 year exp.

 

I'm not a fan of DC's , but Swift drivers have always been helpful getting me in and out and advice on parking . Helped one reroute around a wreck on a state highway , on our way to a DC in Ohio, he had a good attitude and was gracious

 

Is Swift becoming the new Prime?
My understanding is that years ago Prime paid poorly and had a horrible reputation. They increased pay and attracted new talent and are now well respected.
Is Swift on an upswing?

 

Yes and no. Pay wise yes. In cab cameras no. Was looking at some companies today that are rated great and looking at the pay and what they are paying drivers with years of exp and their pay is less then one of our drivers just out of school.

 

That's pretty crazy, if true.

 

There is one on here, Tribe Express. Starting pay is .39. Of that .06 is per diem, and that is for experienced. Look at Pride out of SLC. I think that their drivers max out at .39.
