Sadly there are a few decent folks that think that is as good as it gets.....

Last I checked; Swift is the largest motor carrier in the U.S. (16,000 trucks). They are a "training/starter" company that has the lowest barrier to entry. As a result there is a greater percentage of rookies who make mistakes; while many go on to do well (silver, gold, platimum, diamond). Swift's huge footprint magnifies (20:1) the same mistakes (human error) that occure at all trucking companies. Therefore, the hate is magnified.... In my opinion.

Used them to gain experience and left for another company after driving 6 months because checks were getting smaller and smaller. 350-500 week. Who can survive on that these days? That was my plan anyways. Just pulled up my DAC report and they have me down as having a head on collision. That never happened! Disputing it and Hire-right stated it can take up to 30 days to get a response. They stated that they usually wait the 30 days. We should sue because that is the first thing a company sees, and they will not hire me because of it. MVR is clean. The DAC system is a joke process and devastating for a person trying to make a living to support their families.

What they want is a bunch of so called "trainers" to train the rookie, so that they can use the rookie as a team driver. Using them for up to 6 weeks, making a measly 350 week. So the trainer and the rookies do not come home for as long as the trainer "see fit". Its all about the mighty dollar, has nothing to do with the person coming in. The trainers are the ones getting the miles. They pushed my husband into being a trainer a few months in after he his so called training. He knew he was not ready to do that, so declined.

As for Swift.. they seem to get some good reviews on Indeed. Despite the accidents. Guess because they are the biggest trucking company out there.
