Yeah, I've actually talked with a few of them. And they certainly did not seem like Cretan Idiots. I imagine it might have a lot to do with where you work and are dispatched out of.

 

Technically the forum writes itself.

 

At least with Western Express the truck will actually go 65 mph with the cruise control engaged and there aren't any cameras in the trucks.

Sort of self explanatory ... Given Swifts size, they hire a lot of cretins who can't figure out how things work and expect their hand to be held. When it's not, they come crying to social media about how big bad Swift doesn't care about them. Then everyone commensurates with them about big, bad Swift.

Swift have treated me pretty well. I make good money for the most part. I've grossed 2000 dollars a week several times. More than I've grossed 600 or less, actually. I have good and bad weeks. Recently I have definitely considered leaving for various reasons, but I can also see me retiring here as well. There are a LOT of million milers and 2-3 million mile safe drivers at Swift. I was at the Troutdale, Oregon terminal a couple of days ago and they had pics of million+ mile drivers lining both walls of the longest hallway in the building. That's one terminal, driving every day in the mountains over Cabbage, Snoqualmie and the like with chains on etc...

Swift has more million mile safe drivers than 98% of companies have drivers period. How often do you see someone whip out their camera when someone does the right thing though?
