Come on man! Wake up and smell the bacon. Some of us with good jobs get on here in our free time trying to warn people, not get off posting some nonsense bashing of a big company. You want to listen to someone who has been in the industry for less than six months over someone who has been talking to drivers for over a decade? Take a reality shot before you leap. I will say this, in the cesspool of big box trucking Swift is one of the ones that float.

how often do you as a swift driver get to go home and how much time do you get to spend at home 2 . also if he already has a cdl and goes through the TDI School will he also have to go to the Swift school , im sorry if these questions are stupid but i have no idea how the trucking world works and am curious just how much i am going to have to sacrifice LOL ! -
Bronco, Swift dose not start at .33, it is .27 however they took .01 away for 90 days.
MS, there is no set home time. It is for every 6 days out you get 1 day home, but don't work that easy, it would be more like 20 days out for 3 days of home time. -
yeah thats what ive heard i am not really happy about him being gone all the time but from what i understand there is no OTR company that has alot of home time -
i only know what they started me out at .33 for the frist 90 days and then i went to .37 cpm .maybe not the same for everyone i dont know.

Does Swift have dedicated in NY or FL? I have family in both states. Is it possible to do dedicated in NY and catch a load to do home time in FL?

there is alot of swift haters on here just call a swift recruiter and talk to them or a d/m .swift is a good place to work and the pay is about the same all over .i have very good benefits and get home when i want .i am home every weekend sometimes i stay out 2-3 weeks (my wife wants a new car lol).if he can get his foot in the door it will all work out after he gets to know the ropes and shows his d/m how he works . they take care of the ones that take care of them and get the job done (never late, run a good log book, good mpg,low idle time and take care of there truck)i have some pics of my truck take a look at it .it gets the best of care from the shop and me. well good luck and have a blessed daymsgurl78 Thanks this. -
