I'm not sure why you quoted my statement, you didn't say anything profound or contradictory about my post. What was your point in quoting my statement?
Naturally you will conclude that non- production is the reason others don't make money. But the truth is there is not always enough berries to go around or the company has you in a picked field. Company's who don't have to pay for your time can waste it freely.
I don't have to sacrifice my income to help drivers get home or deliver their load. I don't have to run when I'm tired because I just waited 2 days to get out of a shop & now they have a hot run that no one wants & I need money. I get paid as soon as I park my car at the yard & start my pretrip.
To come on here & say people aren't making money because they don't work hard enough is a half truth. Why should anyone have to work 70hrs a week plus to make a decent living or they are called lazy by people who know no better?
I used to think like a OTR driver but decided to work smarter & not harder so I decided to get paid wether my tires are rolling or not. I'm not lazy for not wanting to work 70hrs a week to make a living, I just didn't want some box telling me how much time I had left to make money as a piece rate driver because some hourly worker pissed away my clock.
I was not aware that a post had to be profound or contradictory to meet your approval for quoting?
Here is something profound, Companies don't care about job hopping anymore. I got a clean CDL and CSA score THAT is what they care about. I worked at my last OTR company 6mos & local now 6mos & my text & e-mail junk is full of recruiters trying to get another hired FLSA EXEMPT hand for OTR.

Sort of related note...
I like to make parodies, and had an idea
for one of a Men Without Hats song...
"The Swifty Dance"
"Gonna park where we want to...
Holding up the whole fuel line...
Backing in, we can't
and because we can't...
Well, we block up the line...
I say, gonna go where we want to...
While the others lose their minds...
Gonna p-ss off every trucker in the world
While we kick back and unwind..."
I got a good one for "We Will Rock You" as well. LOLSirscrapntruckalot, otterinthewater, Paddlewagon and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'd stick with the big blue moniker, you are def not a big grammar specialists. Nor is your ability to articulate a point of view tolerable. You probably should stick with commenting on regular truckers comments. In the future to help your pov, try when quoting someone else posts by posting either your agreeance or dissent. You know like with an introductory, then a body of support and development or support of a dissent and then a conclusion. Have a good day!

What people don’t understand or seem to over look is. Mega carriers are there for strictly one reason... experience.
You get experience and leave. But, to stay and play slave is stupid
Walked into autozone I was buying paint and he asked me what for I told him some parts on my truck. And he goes and says “ you should check out swift sometime they pay really well I spent 20(something) years there.... thinking to myself( is that why you’re at autozone now?). But I voiced oh that’s nice man..... let me just sell off all my equipment and get a job at swift smh.Texas Rebel, ogtrucker47 and BIF MALIBU Thank this.
