SWIFT's DOT Physical

I would say yes. That's how you get a diagnosis of OSA. But...a sleep study every year? Usually they issue a CPAP and send you on your merry way. Just need to have the one that records usage to a memory chip so it can be downloaded by the company.

Yes I had one a few weeks ago.

 

Injun the Dr here at swift told me that I need one every year that's why my dot physical is only for one year not two. No one has mentioned any compliance yet to me for the use of my bipap I will have to ask what the policy is tomorrow.

 

I am in agreement with Injun. This comment is uncalled for. How do we know what this particular members has been through. Very rude without consideration for the feelings of the intended party that comment was directed too.

Ah. BiPAP. Now I understand. Central Sleep Apnea is a horse of a different color entirely.

 

I look at it this way, it is not my fault I was born with an adequate neck to hold up my head.

Does anyone know the procedure if you get there and SWIFT wants a sleep study done? Do they send you home for one or do they have it done there locally and take cost out of your check or what?

 

There was a big guy at my oreintation and he was out of breath walking up the stairs and passed the physical.
