Please keep us informed on your adventures with Swift's flatbed division. I am trying to decide between Swift and Roehl. Roehl definitely pays more .cpm than Swift, but Swift seems to have a much larger coast-to-coast network that could help keep me running and get me going out West more. I am not sure how often either company pulls flatbed west of the Mississippi, which I would love to do. I have been investigating both companies hard, weighing the pros and cons of each, and deciphering driver's comment and opinions, etc.. Do you pull van when flatbed is slow?

Good for you for quitting the smoke and be safe out there.

Good for you, imagine it's extra hard with all that driving time. I quit two years ago.

Buckeye, I start the swift flatbed orientation on Thursday so I can maybe answer some questions about that if you want.

I usually spend most of my time on the west coast, alot longer runs, but a heck of alot more tarping. It seems mostly everything on the west is lumber and pipe.
AZS good luck on orientation, if your taking it in PHX the instructor is my old DM.
I rarely ever pull a van i mean hardly ever. I think i pulled maybe 3 loads since febuary? and 1 was because of my volvo breaking down.

Thanks Schmud, yeah it's Phoenix. Tomorrow we meet the instructor and he mentioned a couple people but can't recall the names, Doc was one I think. But yeah as long as things go according to plan, coded tomorrow and flatbed stuff starting the next day and Friday.

Yup, schmud is correct. Things were going well before the break, certain things are still hazy for sure (mostly load tying related) but I have another 100+ hours to go so they should clear up hopefully before I'm done.
