It's a one truck operation.
He's gonna tell you everything you want to hear
To get you in that truck so he doesn't have to
Do it.
Don't bother with this guy.
Have you seen the truck,
Is it road worthy,
If it breaks down and sits in the shop
For 2 weeks, what are you gonna do,
Sit at home with no pay.
Does he even have the money to fix it.
Your debating over 2 bottom of the barrel jobs,
That have no benefits,no insurance and low pay.
You should be bringing home 12/1300 a week
After taxes with insurance and benefits.
You take these jobs when you screwed up
In the real trucking world and can't get a good job.
Or you like to do drugs and you know they
Will tell you 2 months ahead of time when
You have to pee in bottle.
You can do better than both of these jobs. -
I don't know.
With the hefty price of insurance these days. -
Truck is a 2019 mack anthem with a new hopper trailer. The truck i am in now hauling coils is a 2019 freightliner cascadia with a brand new trailer. I get home every week. Leave monday, home by Thursday or friday. Im not bashing the company i work for now, its just not cutting it weekly. Im only pulling 3 loads a week for coils. This farm is not a hole in the earth farm. Good equipment, etc.
Both companies have benefits and insurance, etc...i just dont need them because my wife has excellent insurance.Last edited: Feb 10, 2019
BigCam9670, Oxbow and wore out Thank this. -
I guess in the end, my main concern is the wait time. All i hear are stories of sitting forever waiting to get off loaded...low rates..etc. kinda makes me say.."what would I be getting myself into" and from what everyone on here is saying with the horror stories of waiting and waiting how the hell could i make 1200 a week lol.

That is rarely the same. I have sat at Dads dog food in Meadeville Pa 24 hours with a load of rice. And the next time be in an out in 2 hours. Course some places are very predictable cause of lines. Hauling beans into a port for Cargill, or someone similar you can count on long lines. Just depends on what your guy has going onOxbow, Rugerfan and chandler14 Thank this.
