    80000 gvw

34000 on the drives, up to 40000 on a 10'2 spread. However, you dont go over 80000 gvw. The biggest difference is that you, the driver have to actually know how to load a trailer to keep axle weights legal.

Does it have the 10ft tail swing with the fixed spread? What i mean by the 10 ft tail swing is from the back bumper to the rear axle theres 10 ft. You will be fine in CT, CA and FL with that type.
The one that you will be in trouble with is where the distance from the rear bumper to the rear axle on the spread is about 3ft.

    whoopNride Thanks this.

I'll keep the 48. 53 is not really worth the extra 5 feet. What are you gonna do fit a small coil on that deck?

If you come into ct with kp to axle further than 41 on a wagon longer than 48' you better be ready to slide it or pay the ticket and turn around.

Mine is 43, I asked at the scale and was measured and let go(while riding with axle spread) I don't go up there but maybe once every few years…it was a scale at a rest area..you kinda had to "S" around to get to the scale….But I also understand that you can get different answers from different officers...

Except in Fl. They allow 44k.

Kind of ironic,.. being my home state,.. its the only state I have ever been hassled over my KP to center distance.

So switched out the trailers today. The guy got loaded in houston, got put in jail and fired in DFW. And this is what im left with. Guess my company will pay the big bucks to have someone move the pipe forward tomorrow. Only 43' pieces 4022 total length.

Is this trailer what they call a california spread?
