    Funny story:

Back when I was hauling fuel I was loading out of Imperial Oil (Esso), the Canadian branch of Exxon. It was very cold, minus 20 or so, and we were top-loading. This was prior to computers and we had to insert tickets into meters mounted on top of the loading rack. Being so cold yer pen didn't write so well so you stuck the nib end in your mouth to warm the ink. So here I am, my breath steaming and my Bic in my mouth. I hear a blood curdeling scream and this office monkey comes flying out of the office in his shirt sleeves. He tears across the yard, scrambles up the rack, stares at me for a minute, says nothing and goes back into the office. What the hell???:biggrin_25524:

Uh Huh, you guessed it.... dummy thinks I'm smoking up there.:biggrin_25526: Suuuure thing pal!!!:biggrin_2559:

LMAO, kittyfoot, and phroziac, don't you love it when those idiots get out of their car at the gas station with a cigarette in their mouth and start to pump gas. They don't know it's the vapors that ignite much easier than the liquid.

There is a video on you tube where a woman went back into her car while her gas was pumping to stay warm, and when she got back out the gas ignited(from static electricity)the instant she touched the pump handle.

I pumped gas for a while back when it was all full service only and I saw a lot of spills from idiots who didn't want to wait for me to get to them, luckily I never had a fire.

It's not rocket science, keep your hand on the pump at all times and no smoking PLEASE.

You would think it was common sense. Then again, who has any of that nowadays? Look at todays role models. ie our government, sports players, etc...
