    Precisely why that one is 5 times thicker so it won't flop around like the Hustler and can handle much greater power.
    Anybody that can operate a tap and die set can make something similar.

    Come on man there is more to it than a tap &die set. I've got that, you have to at least know how to make a coil.

    No need to make a coil. You can buy one. Simply cut 3/8-24 threads onto a piece of stainless rod cut to the desired length, and then screw your new shaft into the bottom of the load.

    Never know how to make one until you try. The science behind them isn’t all that hard. I’ve built I can’t count how many antennas, big coil, fiberglass, halfbreed, and center loaded. It’s actually not as bad as you would think, and rewarding as hell when you make the first DX contact with something YOU made.
