Well I got a text and an email from the us foods recruiter today, set up a 15 min phone interview for Friday, my application went from “under review” to “under consideration” lol. I also got a “contingent” offer from pepsi, about 14 seconds after I hit submit application. Whichever way I go, I’ll start a new thread and update everyone

Good luck food service are physical jobs but do pay well and you can have a life outside of driving a truck

I thought Sysco was contracting that out now. At least they are in my part of the world.

    Well here’s the catch
They advertise they’re hiring “shuttle drivers” but then in the job description it says you “may be required” to touch freight and gives case counts and weights and what not. In my opinion that sounds like “we’re gonna hire you as a shuttle driver, but suddenly we won’t need any shuttle drivers and we’re gonna have to put you on a route” at least what it sounds like to me. I applied for the shuttle position and never heard a peep outta them

FYI, you will touch freight doing LTL. Get familiar with the phrase "inside delivery" like 20 cases of copy paper to the 10th floor office bldg !

You’re an anomaly and not the norm.
