Because none of them will hire me. They say I don’t have enough experience.iraqralph43 Thanks this.
-
Correct. I USED to live in FL but moved to MORadman Thanks this.

Applied October 6 2023, still haven’t heard anything from them. Weird.
-
I would have called them a few work days after applying and asked them the status of my application. By now, yours is likely in the round file.Lite bug Thanks this.

What happened to the milk hauling gig?
-
Depends on the gig, did it for 12 years and you will be asked to pitch in and start a route if a guy calls off, also had to run stops ‘on the way in’ the driver couldn’t get off. You want to talk hilarious, doing a delivery with a set of doubles is up there. Hours can be brutal. You will be expected to run in all conditions.

Would it hurt to call Monday? Lmao
-
Usually, they are pretty eager to get bodies through the door.
I have a friend at the old place that applied to Sysco and the way he tells it, his phone hasn't stopped ringing since he submitted the app. Granted, he has a decade and half or more of food service experience and a flawless record.
He applied mostly to rattle the cage of our Opco since there hasn't been a raise for delivery drivers in several years. But the money Sysco is flashing around is tempting. -
It depends on the warehouse/market but all things being equal I think US Foods pays the most. Enjoy waking up all the rodents when you deliver to dirty restaurants at 4 o clock in the morning. Some routes are better than others; expect a lot of lugging 50lb bags of flour down (and sometimes up!) Multiple steps starting out. Hey if you stick out 20+ years you can make $200k and use an electric pallet jack all day.
