Each location is different. When i worked at sysco, starting pay was only 18 an hr. The other sysco 40 mins away started at 21 (better union). We didnt get milage or case pay just hourly. Ot after 10.
As others said its a real hard way to make money, youll work crappy hours (middle of the night), pure back breaking labor and food service will make you work on thanksgiving christmas and new years and all other holidays.
I currently work food service and I know i cant do this forever even though its one of the rare 6 figure trucking jobs
Sysco, tell me more

Sysco is a very difficult company to work for, cameras in the trucks you hit a pot hole and they want to fire you , they go through employees left and right, some Sysco warehouses are better then others. They all operate a little different. You'll make a living, but they have bids and there are bids like where you can bid to be a swing driver and do a different route everyday never know where your going and work 14-15 hours a day.
Sysco isn't what it used to be, but it's better then nothing.speedyk Thanks this. -
Try U.S. Foods as well as Sysco, if possible.
IMO, U.S Foods, while far from perfect, is one of the the best in the industry. -
Well, I was offered a job by Sysco with an immediate bid, no extra board. Average 15 stops per day at 700 cases. Pay is 20.45 with OT after 10 per day. Also incentive pay, where i was told some average $32 per hour. Sounds pretty decent.

I left Sysco in 2014. Worked there for 6 years, It is a young mans job. You will earn every cent you get paid. What warehouse is it that you are looking at? You will work every available hour that is on your logs for the week.
