Today was the first day on my own...so training is done. Had 10 stops. I'm sure before long they will up to 15-16 stops, but the say they aren't goinf to rush it, and we are also approaching the "slow" period in the new year. So far so good. I'm definately happy.

Good to hear, you,re happy. Just didn;t hear any response in here, so was wondering how are you doing.
10 stops is OK for first few weeks, till you learn the locations. Hope so, you do not get a 17 tommorow, thats killing for new guys. Where are you delivering? got your steady route? Or it is too early to consider as a steady route.

Today, I had 13 stops. Kerrisdale/Kitsilano area. I was done quicker today than yesterday (where I only had 10). I started at 5:30 and was back in the yard by 3:20. The largest stop I had was Subway at 89 pieces, so lotsa 15, 20, 30 40 piecers. Lotsa tight back allies, and stairs at some places. I'm sore, don't get me wrong, but the body will adjust. I like the first full pay cheque.

Yep, I have my own routes. Thursday is South Van, Fridays are Kits/Kerrisdale, Saturday's Richmond, and Mondays are N/W.Van.

Yea, I hope they don't throw 17 at me right now...

Subways always takes a lot. Ussualy 1- to 3 skids at the place. I hate big malls, when you have to walk for a 2 miles on back hallways till you unload a dolly.

Kitsillano for me was fast too, but very narrow roads. we;re talking about 2 inches on sides some places, were cars park on both sides of road.
    Langley runs were good too.
Downtown Vancouver is good if you run a straight truck, with 36 ft trailer is really sucks.
Coquitlam suck too. specialy if yore going to malls, you get stuck on parking lot many times.
North van has lots of stairs, some are so steep you cant even walk on it. There was one subway, and we got a free sandwich there every time. Stairs so steep and narrow, a chineese lady is running it, shes always nice. And butcher in north van is a very nice guy too.
paycheck...I did not like it. Maybe problem is I was firs time employee ever so I'm not used to deductions, so it seemed to be very low. Even If it was a full, it was barely enough to survive for me.
