For someone fresh out of school it's #### good

I can think of three companies that pay better for newbies fresh out of school. Prime, TMC and Maverick. I'm sure there are others.

System is the best of the best when it comes to driver satisfaction in big flatbed companies. Them and Combined out of Central Point, OR. Lots of happy drivers. I called TWT a while back to see what the reefer side looked like. .33 per mile with 2000-2500 miles a week. Not as good lol.

Sweet! I check everything out before I make a decision. Thanks Eagle Eye.

That is an interesting response. You are claiming to "check everything our before I make a decision." However, you thank Eagle Eye that just gave your an affirmative of your opinion and say nothing to King Hunter who names 3 companies that would pay better. Seems like a classic example of listening to the answer you want to hear instead of checking everything out.Weeble Kneeble and The Challenger Thank this.

Better pay doesn't equal better company

If you can tolerate reefer, Prime Inc has a good training program. You start out at 37 cpm plus 4 cpm light weight truck for a total of 41 cpm. Seeing where you live, Maverick nor TMC hires out there but you might want to check out Roehl as well. I just want to advise you of other options in case System doesn't work out.

You're right on that. However, it would depend what one is looking for in a company. There are lots of good options for someone living in WA like yourself.Weeble Kneeble Thanks this.

I don't disagree with this statement, but it has nothing to do with the point I was making. Your original statement was that .32/mi was very good money for someone straight out of school. KH said he could name 3 companies where a student would make more starting out. MegaMover ignored what KH said and only paid attention to what you said because he wants to go to work for System.
I still think .32/mi is very low for open deck, but I am not as familiar with the West Coast and the options out there.
