Ill hopefully be going into training with system starting september 21st, Will keep yall updated, so far it seems pretty sweet. Bit of backround on myself first tho: got into trucking november of 2012 right after my 21st birthday, saw an ad on craigslist for free CDL training with Central refrigerated -save your sorrys, i get enough of it xD- long story short, had a one year contract, got talked into lease operator, needless to say, december 2013, about 20 days after my "one year" i left central and went home, luckily only ended up owing 120 buck wich was written off when i joined the O/O lawsuit. been out of the industy since. found an ad on the unemployment website for CDL Link -i assume systems recruiters- and have been talking to Bob Conway ever since. min of .36 a mile with a sliding scale based on the load and length of the run, can get to .60 a mile with an average of 2000-2500 miles a week. Ill keep yall in the loop about how training goes, training is only 5 weeks and base pay of 700 a week.

what a crock you are.. Your mvr is clean but you have 2 accidents. You didn't think that 1 workmans comp claim was 2 much.. But they said you had 5 but medical records say you don't have 10... LMAO.. hilarious..

Well I'm having a really negative experience with this company so far.

I was told by the recruiter that I spoke with that I would get a quick week of training for cargo securement and be assigned a truck. I'm now in my third week and just keep getting told that there aren't trucks available. Even though less experienced guys from my class have been given trucks.

Since the first week my trainer has been making calls to get me upgraded and they fall on deaf ears. The people in charge of student drivers give me no answers at all and neither does dispatch.

We've been getting about 2,000 miles a week as a team.

I'm ready to leave, but I'm proud of my very stable work history. We also have to sign a promise to repay transportation costs if we quit within 6 months. That's already sitting at $1,000 from two flights booked last minute.

This company sounded fantastic, but this is looking like another mega carrier that just doesn't care.

    I'll keep you guys updated.

So are you a recent cdl school grad? I ask because if you were told that you were going for a quick week training then that would be orientation for a new hire that had OTR experience.. But then you say that your trainer is making calls and that you are getting about 2000 miles a week as a team with your trainer.. Which 2000 miles per week for a team sounds awfully low.. If you were there as an experienced driver than the 1 week orientation would be correct. If you are a new cdl school grad then System details that you will be out with a road trainer for 4-6 weeks.. If that is the case then you have 3-4 weeks of riding with a trainer left and would be in line with what Systems training is as they state on there web site..

I have a pre hire letter from System so I am just trying to understand as from everything I have researched the only other scenario you could be in is you are an experienced cdl driver but new to Flatbed in which you would go through orientation and then based on your experience would determine how long you would be out with A trainer.

What fleet is your trainer on? And what fleet are you going on?

Even if your trainer is getting 2000k miles a week which I don't think is true unless he is local you are being paid the trainee pay at $500 a week

It's only one person that handles all trainees.

If you are just starting your week 3 how are the ones with less experience finished before the 3 weeks is up?

Why would you be asking for a truck if you haven't even upgraded and tested out yet? The test out will take about week then you will get a truck it will be at the yard in Cheney or one of the yards elsewhere.

    I'm experienced. 1.5 years OTR.

I'll be running Texas regional, which is what my trainer is running. Although after we get a decent run we end up going into the Rockies where we sit for hours or days on end waiting for a load.

Other students were assigned local trainers who had them test out after a few days of driving.

Why wouldn't I be trying to get tested out and assigned a truck? I know how to drive and securing loads isn't exactly rocket science. I was told a week by a recruiter, two weeks in orientation, and now I'm just being told to wait.

I wouldn't care if I was fresh out of CDL school, but I gave up a better paying job to come here.

Orientation is only 1 week not 2 weeks. The miles are right if he is on the TX fleet most of those guys are home weekends. And His dispatcher sucks if he is waiting days for a load out of CO we have a lot of accounts there. If they tested out just a few days later something may be up on your end that you may or may not be saying
