Systems Transport

I got loaded yesterday at 1430 and then left Albany at 0330 this morning. Getting up dark and early again to hopefully defeat LA.

 

ill be jumping on 505 about 0400 so hopefully I can be outta the bay by 8 or so... I left Eugene at 4 this morning so you were right on my heels the whole way.

 

Next time I'll start excessively flashing my headlights. That'll be the sign. I'm unloading around 0900 and then picking up and heading back north to the Portland for the weekend. I'll keep a lookout and wave at the System

I've known Brenna for years and she's a friend of mine and my wife's (My wife was working in Safety while I was there). She was my recruiter years ago. Tell her Joel said hello.

 

Ok a bit late but day 3 was good. First half of the day was a Smith System road test. We went driving in Spokane. We used a company van and the instructor( + your orientation group in the van) critiqued your driving based on the Smith System. It really wasn't all bad. After that we returned for lunch and swapped groups. After lunch was MORE SmithSSystem safety training videos and a few tests. That pretty much wraps it up. Today I believe we are going to be doing a bit of secure mentioned to get everyone acclimated with System's ways of load securement. I also found out they will be flying me back to Gary, IN to get a truck.

 

Oh. I think there are too many people in the orientation group for that. There are 21 people in my group. Joe said this is the largest group they have ever had.
