Well the quarterly report seemed to go over well in the office. I sent it to mid level management who apparently forwarded it to top level management.

The top level management Lady running Systems transport called me up and told me i have a new dispatcher and they are running me through Spokane so we can talk about it in person. This new dispatcher typically only deals with the most experienced top level drivers on the OTR fleet so that's a plus.

It's not as good as the pole fleet, but it's worth a shot.

P.S: If they fire me in Spokane i'm going to be pissed. I have way too much crap in this truck lol

Will do :D. Unfortunately, we won't be passing as I'm running up to Seattle first. The truck stop at the junction of 97 and 84 makes some good burgers though if you got time to stop. Next time maybe :p.

Made out much better than expected. Cleared $1700 gross.

I have the next couple of weeks off so should be able to post first year info I promised way back when.

The overwidth isn't that big of a deal. Being 90 feet long though makes turning ridiculous though lol.

Finanically AFAIK this only pays 8cpm more a mile and because of restrictions on routes and circumstances i only made 150 miles today. I should be doing 500-550 for the rest of the trip. It'll end up being $145 more for about a 2000 mile run. So financially, i'd probably be better off doing regular freight and keeping up 600-650 miles a day, but it's fun to haul something different for a while and it's good experience.

Been running hard this week, ill finish this week with about 3600 miles when I finish this trip. On other news I'm pretty sure I delivered to the Korean mafia today lol. It was in Compton ca, and all the guys there were wearing very nice white suits and were all packing concealed weapons. None of them spoke a word of English. They were all Korean. Security was insane on this facility. Crazy deal for 3 slabs of aluminum going to S Korea. Even the dude on the forklift wore a very nice white suit. Totally weird

The RGN Brotherhood is Insane. I'm back hauling some Salt Spreaders for the Montana DOT and i had a 4x4 completely decimate in the rear so i pull over to some random podunk truck stop in SD right next to a multi axle RGN heavy haul Combined Transport Truck. I mess with it for about 30 minutes with no great results and he comes over and says he has a 20 ton bottle jack and some blocking so we can lift it up and then reposition it. The only problem is we don't have enough dunnage to properly fix it. Another RGN pulling a Tractor pulls in between us and offers us some dunnage after seeing our situation. All 3 of us work on it and we got it locked up tight and proper in a matter of minutes.

I get to talking with this Combined Transport guy and it turns out he's been there for 12 years and has some good things to say so that's a potential future opportunity.

Meanwhile at Systems Transport i'll be sitting for the rest of the weekend as the Montana DOT stops recieving at 3pm and my new and improved dispatcher's response is ''Well that's too bad, That's going to hurt your miles for the month''...

I just Trip Planned it out and even if everything went exactly perfect and i bounced straight off my 10 and ran non stop i would have came up short. My last 2 drops have been at busy job sites on non truck routes with no place to park and i keep telling them i need a place to go to or i'm heading to the nearest truck stop when i empty out. They wait 5 minutes after i start driving to send me my next load then i have to try and figure it out while im driving and do all my trip planning on my 14 hr clock. As such i don't have time to properly plan these loads or i would have turned down this load and/or demanded extra pay before i even picked it up.

I can say with solid confidence that they are withholding information from me so I'm unable to trip plan these loads so that i can't turn down these loads and/or demand extra pay until after iIve picked it up and I'm already ######. They know that they are ####### me over and they know if they give me time to trip plan it then I'll know it to.

With all that said i will say that Systems' Transport is absolutely the best place to start in this industry. I just can't say with any real confidence that is the best place to stay once you've gotten your 1st year of experience in and unless i get onto a different division i probably won't be.

I 100% agree with you on this. It seems that they are great when you are starting out but lately the no pre-plan is starting to drive me insane. not too mention I have a buddy at another company that makes the same run I do but doesn't do multiple stops just straight up and straight back down and is making twice what im making. It's turning into a lot of work for not a lot of money and sitting for minimum 2 hours up north after unloading waiting for a new load

A good friend of mine just got forced onto the Conestoga Fleet as they needed to fill the opening. His first run has 2 picks in Spokane,1 drop in Oregon and 4 Drops in LA and for all this all that he's getting is 2cpm more....

Sounds like a ###### deal to me, but he likes the whole dedicated run idea and they claim he will make more money than he did OTR so he's keeping an open mind to it.

I've never had to do multiple picks or drops coming out of Spokane just headed north. I did hear they lost one of the drivers on the fleet the other day
