Yall paid every 2 weeks?

Experience doesn't necessarily count for anything..
You just changed dispatchers and as has been mentioned, you have to give it some time; be willing to work with him to get you to where you expect to be. You're probably the newest guy on his fleet and he doesn't know you from jack. Give it time to work out. Sitting happens, heck I've sat both the last two weekends and didn't get paid when I would have liked for miles I ran because of how the trip fell. But, it started me out fantastic for this week. Instead of putting all the blame on him, as happened to your last dispatcher maybe you need to change something you're doing to build a better relationship with him. There's lots of good dispatchers here, you will make money, but you have to be willing to give a little to get what you want.Milktanker Thanks this. -
Yes every 2 weeks -
You can't expect to be making money with a new dispatcher, everyones been tell you that. Milktanker is always positive to you, and your more worried about money. You said it yourself you don't have to work for a year. Just remember experience is where the money is. I don't know why your making such a big deal about. I proved myself to my dispatcher, I don't bother him, he gives me good runs, and I'm already 4400 mile into next payday and I still have 2 weeks left. Your checks are going to be inconsistent, its part of the job. Maybe you need to change your approach toward this situation and your dispatcher. Oh and by the way I'm a regional driver

Anyways what i figured with the data give for 2014 is you made a gross income of $49,241.39
Assuming you take one day off per week (no work at all,not partial days off) your Weekly Average Gross income was $1090.62 -

I ended up Re-Powering a Genie load in a manner i hope to never repeat. It turns out the reason i sat all day yesterday is because they had to get an appointment for a 30 ton Crane to come and load this thing.
I'm leaving close up pictures of the truck out of this post out of respect for the driver. The Tow Truck Driver said he walked away from the crash. he rolled over onto his Passenger side fortunately leaving the driver side of the cab mostly intact.
I'm sticking around for now because based on my current research on my candidates it looks like the grass isn't any greener on the other side.
-Central Oregon Trucking
62 mph trucks,no APU's,inconsistent bonus. No Advancement Opportunity's,Same pay as System's
-Combined
Forced Per Diem,Limited Opportunity's, questionable office support
-Sprinter
Poor Driver Safety CSA score due to reputation of pushing drivers extremely hard
-Melton
Lots of Short hauls,Lots of East Coast and lots of freight from the Mexican Border BS,Lots of PIA tarped loads
-ATS
no info available on them atm
-Leavitt's
Same pay as Systems,Worse Vacation Time,Limited Service area gets boring
It's bittersweet to think i may be at the best flatbed Carrier already. I'll continue to research and add information on potential opportunity's, but with no Greener pastures to move to in sight I'll probably work on seeing if i can't make this work.
Nice having dinner with you tonight Milkman. You always offer insightful input . -
My fiance and I just applied. We are in CDL school out here in southern California. They asked us to send in copies of our permits, DL, SS and medical. Been really looking hard at them and Prime to start our new trucking careers with.

1.Prime makes you Pay for all your own Flatbed Equipment. Have you quoted a set of 8 ft drop tarps recently?
2.Prime's health insurance minimum was $200/mo when i talked to them last year. For their premium health insurance package you are looking at $400+/mo just for you.
3.To put it Crudely Prime Trucks are Running Road Blocks. I blow their doors off all day long and since we're being paid by the mile that's a good thing.
4.Prime runs Super Singles Which are absolute #### in slick road conditions.
5.Prime doesn't have anywhere for a flatbedder to go. They have a limited Flatbed division and few if any specialty divisions one can move in as they become more experienced. One of the reasons i chose System's Transport was their Plethora of opportunity's so that i may be able to grow within the company rather than grow into a new company.
Yes you'll get started out at 38cpm, but how much do you think will be left after your done paying for a couple grand worth of equipment plus constantly replacing equipment as it wears out and paying 200+ a month for health insurance minimum.
I'll be the first one to knock System's when they screw me over, but I don't regret not going to work for Prime.lakerized805 Thanks this.
