SPD out of Arlington, WA. They haul some pretty cool freight. If I wanted to stay out longer than 2 weeks, I could make more on the semi side at COTC, but I'm looking at switching back to the quads (shoulder pending). I was making more home every weekend on that fleet.

    ramblingman Thanks this.

Seeing how I've been sitting empty for 24 hours and every week I empty out in Seattle or Portland and wait minimum of 2 hours for a pre plan my patience are wearing very thin at the moment

What do you usually haul out of that area?

For us 283 guys, the coast is one big black hole. You're lucky if you only have to wait a couple of hours for someone to find you a load out of there.

Either USG from Auburn or genie or Kalama for coils. They said today to load coils but no pre plan as of yet. You would think this would be a good freight area for a company that's from the area and has a big presence here

If it is any consolation my experience has been similar in that area. It doesn't make sense to me either but it is what it is.

I asked for a load going by the house for easter Sunday and I got a load of trailers headed to our LA yard not due till Monday so that was nice.

IDK maybe I expect something that is unrealistic and I know it's not always their fault but since I run a dedicated I have to be back to LA by Thursday night or Friday to reload. Got a load of coils to Sactown then deadheading down to Kaiser after that

Most owner ops I've talked to are averaging around 1.75 a mile loaded and empty depending on where they run
