I definitely will. I'll either start another thread or a blog and link it here. I really am pretty excited about the move. Everything I've read and the couple of drivers I've spoken with so far have all spoken highly of the company. I know there will be frustrations along the way though.

Spoke with Curtis in recruiting on Friday. Since its going to be a few weeks before orientation I'll have to resign some paper work and he'll have to pull my DAC and DMV history again. Guess I also need to find out where my DOT physical long form is. The place I work now paid for it so it should be in my file someplace. If they don't have it I'll have to get a new physical. Don't think that should be too big of a deal.

Any hints or tips for orientation and getting started with a trainer? The fella I interviewed with in denver said it would likely be between 3-6 weeks for training since I'm a fairly new driver, but I have six months of flat bed experience.

Orientation will be simple. Being a student get ready to deal with Dale the safety guy all through training. When you test out and get your own truck make sure that you really have your pre-trip down. He will be looking for an air test and making sure you went through the black book in the cab that has all the permits and insurance and things like that in it. Also make sure the fire extinguisher is in the truck and know if it is still good or not and check to make sure all 3 triangles are there also. He won't go out with you to do all this when you upgrade he will just start asking you these different things after you've started driving down the highway. The road test in orientation will be simple it's just that solo upgrade drive test he is a stickler.

hi fellas. does system transport do a hair follicle test along with the urinalysis. or do they do a urine test only? now before you trolls get your panties in a knot, i do not condone operating a semi or any motor vehicle under the influence of any narcotics. that being said, home time is a separate issue entirely. lighting a joint is far more appealing than opening up a case of beer in my humble opinion. thank ya

They do an Hair Test and a Urine test initially and then test you once a month for first year via hair test. After that you are of course subject to constant randoms.

Not sure what answers you expect. Pot is illegal as far as the dot is concerned. I could care less if you prefer it over alcohol. If you get caught your career is shot. Is it really worth it? Find another line of work if pot is more important than having a solid career
