I'm probably never going to catch you there. I just can't stay away from a long narrow windy steep back road. Speaking of here's some Trucker Trivia. I crossed over a 5 mile up and 5 mile down 10% grade with switch backs all the way up and down. Where was i?

Remind me not to play trucker trivia with you guys again...

On a business note. I'm all loaded up in Spokane with a bunch of aluminum going to PA with a stop in OH and MI. Miles are good, but It's going to be boring as ####. Hoping i can get a couple extra days on it to go fishing in Montana :D.

No idea on the trivia. I delivered in Toronto last Friday then took a 34 in port Huron Mi. Monday I deadheaded to Gary to get a preloaded trailer to Calgary. I delivered that one this morning then bounced to Galloway BC to get a load of poles back to the Spokane yard where I'm picking up an oversize load going to Chicago. Should just be over length, dispatch was saying something about 60' building material of some sort.

Very nice, Those OL loads are nice. All the pay of OD without much hassle.

I gotta give these bastads a little credit. I preloaded my stepdeck with aluminum (PIA to tarp) for another driver going down to CA. Then i picked up my trailer preloaded so i figured i spent an extra 2-3 hours vs if i had just loaded myself, but i didn't think too much of it. Free work like that is standard in the OTR business which is the primary reason I'm looking local. I love running OTR. This morning i get 6 hrs pay and a thank you for helping them out yesterday.

It's good when you get paid for the work you do and it's even better when you don't have to fight tooth and nail for it. Heck, if they keep this up it might be worth sticking around.

I wound up doing a favor for them today and preloading another od load of steel for a guy getting in around midnight, then got my load. Turns out it's 2 70 ft I-beams. They've always compensated me pretty fair on these things. For preloading the other trailer I got $35 hourly, $20 stop, and $25 oversize. Not bad for 6 miles of driving and 45 minutes loading and strapping down

Well, been a lot going on for me. I had a lot fall into place the last few weeks for me. I turned in my notice today that next Friday will be my last day at System. I have nothing against the company and really am quite happy running poles, I make good money, good hometime, all that good stuff. I ended up buying my own truck and will be going out on my own authority pulling cows and step deck when the livestock slows down. It has been my goal since I've started driving to run my own show. So ramblingman, if you want a pole fleet spot there's going to be an empty truck. Hope everyone is having a good 4th of July. I'm in Fargo Nd. Tonight headed for Edmonton after which bounce down to Calgary to grab some 70' poles to Spokane.

I'm looking forward to it for sure, kinda nervous but I feel like it's the right thing for me right now
