Those micro-sleepers don't got room for one man let alone two. Probably don't matter much though if your training is anything like what i experienced(Cheap team driving). I can see how having a second logbook would boost your pay immensely though lol.

It's a pretty nice place to work as far as Mega-Carriers go. If i was going to keep working for a mega doing flatbed I wouldn't go anywhere else.

System is the only company I've ever worked for. Went to their school and been with them ever since. So far, they haven't done anything that has pissed me off too much.

Hope to see you post here with your experience. Systems; et al, is on my radar for future possible employment.

Those micro sleepers are the main reason I try to push my student into team driving as soon as they feel comfortable. That way only one of us has to be in the sleeper at a given time.

Got the trailer valve fixed and it's holding air properly now.

I got another driver to grab my tarps which took 600 lbs off my truck. I got another scale ticket and I weigh 600 lbs more after taking my tarps off than i did last night with my tarps on.

IE. I gained 1200 lbs in water weight the wood absorbed just sitting here overnight.

I can't go east today because East bound is closed here in West memphis due to a 3 fatality crash that occured this morning in front of the Walmart. When i do try to go east I'll probably get multiple overweight tickets if they feel like being ######## even though I'm driving back to the shipper to get it fixed.

    #### it, Rage quit!

This is my fault though really. I knew the trler air bags had been acting weird for a day or so now and hadn't dealt with it yet. I could have stopped at a mom and pop TS and paid for a scale ticket out of pocket instead of waiting to get to a major truck stop where i could pay for it with my Comdata Card. It always takes 2-4 weeks to get reimbursed though and is a major PIA, but looking back now it sure woulda been a helluva lot better idea.

I guess i've gotten a bit complacent because in a year and a half of driving for systems this is the first load I've gotten which i couldn't make legal by running half tanks and/or pulling tarps off.

Most the Trainers do. If you trust someone enough to sleep while they're holding your life in their hands you oughta trust em enough to let em go drive solo. Just my .02

Well got another truck coming the same direction to stop by me and then called out a forklift to take 2 bundles off and we're rolling.

End result was $250 for the forklift and 2 days of driving lost. Lost 4 days of driving before that due to getting stuck for the weekend on the previous load and 2 more while they tried to find me this load. End result was 700 miles in 6 days.

On the plus side i set a new record yesterday of 708.5 miles in one shift doing more in one day than i did in the last 6 lol. It's pretty safe to say this last week was my worst with Systems from a mileage standpoint since i've got my own truck.

The guy who grabbed a couple bundles off me was a real nice old school type of guy training a student and we got to BS and I bought em dinner and said thanks for helping me out and they were just saying "It's what flatbedders do". :)
