You know there is about six resturants and a grocery store all within walking distance of that TA. Why waste money eating garbage truckstop food. Go for a little walk and get something better.

I believe you're thinking of the T/A close to Hartford, CT off exit 29 (I think it is)...several good places in walking distance.

Now the Willington location is terrific if you want to walk to the FedEx terminal....

No I was thinking of the one on I-95. I can't remember the exit number. I think I am suffering from early onset dementia.:biggrin_2556:

Ah, yes...the grocery store across the street is very nice indeed...done a good bit of shopping there myself!

And don't worry about EOD...all those dang T/As look alike to me too!

i'm not impressed by the north hartford t/a either, but there is a shop-rite supermarket across the street among other things.

Both of them suck. The one in Meriden is small, awkward lot covered in piss. Fills up quickly. Showers are meh. Coffee is crap.
The one in Willington still has that nasty sulfur smell in the bathrooms. Better sized lot. Dunks refills my 40 Oz mug for the cost of a medium coffee.
Most of the staff there is awesome though. And they keep the showers clean there.
The freightlinerservice point is a joke. 2 days to get a led teardrop light for my cascadia out of memphis. Couldn't fix an air leak on the splitter even though the leak was coming from the line under the tractor. Misdiagnosed a leak in my primary air system. I told them it was a diaphragm in the chamber. 1/2 hr later they told me it was all set. Did a bleed down in the garage and it lost air. I lost my #### and told them it was a leak in the diaphragm. They all scattered like mice when I laid into them.
Get enough fuel to park. Their markup is ridiculously high compared to the pilot in Sturbridge. And fuel tax is cheaper in MA.
Luckily Werner has a mom and pop set up in Sturbridge. I try to get my fuel and shower from them. No restaurant though, but they have excellent coffee.

Lol T/A in general blows as well as PETRO . That petro in W. Memphis AR Is the BIGGEST dump I've ever been to. Absolutely disgusting. Little Rock and memphis TN are pretty gross as well.
