t2000 wide load mirror extensions

    Can anyone tell me how they have put them on those super cool plastic and fiberglass mirrors.
    I tried google but had no luck.

    The doors are made like the t700's, out of fiberglass and will not withstand the stress of mirror extensions or so KW/Pete told us

    Yes, but it is a 386,(different cab and mirrors)

    bummer... anyone got suggestions other than sell that ugly scrap of a truck?

    We had an owner operator with a T2000 and he had extendable mirrors. From what I remember he took the door panels off and reinforced the backside with an stainless plate. He pretty much had the door panel sandwiched between two plates. He used stainless for the tubes and it did look like a professional job when he was done.

    I've seen several t2000's with the mirror setup like they use for pulling mobile homes.

    not the ones that slide out manually, you must mean those electric sliders. we used to build our own for our toters.
