Hi Ive looked all over the internet and can't find any wiring diagrams from my 2000 t2000. Ive just blown two front differentials in as many weeks because the stupid temp gauge for the diffs arn't working. The first time it happened I don't know if it was just that the diff was ready to go or if it leaked out the fluid overheated then blew. The second I blame partly on the shop and partly on me. I used the original housing and just had them change the power divider and the internals. I knew i kept smelling burning oil but i couldn't find a leak next thing i know the diff overheated and blew. Now i find there's a crack on the case across the top and its leaking where the yoke bolts onto the power divider.
I'm hear at a truck stop waiting for shop's to open tomorrow to get it fixed again but i want to have a working temp sensor in the diff so i don't blow another. Since I started driving the truck (belongs to a friend) the temp gauge's for the diffs have never worked. The front diff doesn't even have a sensor installed (gonna have one put in when i get the diff fixed). I tried touching the two wires for the sensor to see if i can get a reading and Ive got nothing. I know this truck has digital gauges but I have no idea where the wires from the diff run to, and on the back of the gauge cluster there are only 6 wires for 9 gauges so the wires from the diff have to be going to some computer before they get to the gauges.
Thanks for putting up with my long explanation any and all help would be very appreciated.
Thanks again
Joe
