T680 Cabinet shelf

I'm not sure where else to post this, but I just got switched into a new truck (2021 t680 sleeper) that doesn't have the cabinet shelf in it. Where can I buy this part? I tried searching everywhere but nobody seems to list it. The shelf sits inside the cabinet and acts as a floor.

Is that the "closet" behind the driver's seat?

 

Yeah, its the storage cabinet where you put clothes in and stuff. The 2017-2019 models had shelves in the middle

 

Ask the guys at your company shop to pull one out of another truck and give it to you. That is probably what happened to yours! Lol. They can just order a new one. If you are with a larger company they probably get weekly deliveries from Kenworth.

 

That's actually the first thing I did, but the shop said they don't carry those parts and the old ones have to remain in the trucks since they return them after the warranty is up.

 

Then your only option is to talk to the shop manager. Obviously you talked to some lazy ### that didn't want to be bothered. Ask the guy how will they possibly be able to return your truck with a missing shelf? Are they just going to scrap the truck? Lol. There is one more option...... Find an unassigned truck on the lot and take the shelf!! When I worked for Swift, there were booku trucks on that lot in Phoenix, all unlocked.

 

You might need to put a small plastic two drawer compartment in the space as a fix.

 

Order one from Kenworth and submit the bill to your company.
