Am from Balto-rot. That area is changing. Not great but not as bad as it used to be. They tore down the old abandoned plants that used to be south of the lot and put in some Amazon warehouses. I believe the strip club around the corner is gone. Lots of new development to the west down Interstate Ave. (which turns into Boston St.).Target, Mission BBQ, Chick Fil-a and a bunch over stuff just west a 1/2 mile or so down the road. During the day your fine to walk there, at night cab or uber.
Dave_in_AZ and BillStep Thank this. -
There's a nice little pub near the TA that I usually got to when I am in that area. I walk out the main entrance towards that hotel across the street. Through the hotel parking lot to the next street over then go right. The name of the place is the Angle Inn. Good food and decent beer selection. But, I don't frequent Baltimore often, unless the money is stupid. Everything about Baltimore is difficult. Limited parking. Traffic jams.
Wespipes, BillStep and IH Truck Guy Thank this. -

Barb, one of the hardest working bartenders I know...

I didnt realize some companies plan your trip that precisely.
Times have changed when a driver can't stop when and where they want to.ncmickey, Dave_in_AZ, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -
Trip plans work great until you are at 10.75 on the drive line and plan on stopping at a particular truck stop and then find all the spots filled.
Now what??????BillStep and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
I used to be around that area at night all the time doing food service and was never bothered.
Same with Harlem and Washington heights in Manhattan. Just mind your p's and q's and you'll be okBillStep Thanks this. -
Can you get further noth to the TS up near Philly? Much better place and a lot more parking.
BillStep Thanks this. -
I hate that they have taken over the truck stops with rented spaces, but in the case of no room at the inn, rental spaces are the best resort. Rented spaces take a lot of the stress off of driving and worrying about where you can find parking.BillStep Thanks this.
