The TA in Kingman has a Black Bear Diner. When I was there I had to wait the place was full and it was mostly non CDL customers. Good food and large portions has a good reputation for family dining

The black bear in Amarillo was crappy. I was seated and then I turned invisible, or should I say the staff disappeared. They guy that seated me was over animated. I think he was on coke. But I ate at another black bear that I can't remember where, that's was great

It goes deeper than their parking lot, that's why.

They've been known to run truck drivers out of their stores WHO PARKED OFF SITE AND WALKED IN.

So their hate of truck drivers is equal to my hate of them. Boycott Buc'ees!

If you consider being run out of the store because you're a truck driver who walked in from off site "stupid" then, yea, I ##### about stupid stuff.

I have been in several of them, and only one of those times was I in a car. I once parked on the lot at a location near Rockwall, TX. The only thing they said to me was making sure I wasn't planning on staying long. I was pulling a 53 foot RGN with the kingpin at 2 feet. I was almost 90k and 73feet long. Dude asked me about pipeline work, and I left there with a shirt and nuggets for my wife, and a PILE of Jerky. I can't say I blame them for not wanting truckers to clog up the place.. A LOT of drivers are DISGUSTING SLOBS with bad attitudes that think the entire country owes them a BJ because of their "hard" job. OTR trucking is the EASIEST job I've ever had.

Good for you. Not everyone has the same experience.

Trucker stopped at Bucee's doors even after parking elsewhere

If you consider being away from your home, family and friends for weeks at a time to be "easy" then you can speak for yourself.

If you consider your every move monitored and logged by at least 2 gov't agencies at all times to be easy, then speak for yourself.

If you consider every minute of your day being mandatory logged for the gov't and missing even 1 minute can result in steep fines and OOS violations, then you can speak for yourself.

I consider a job that I sleep in my own bed, eat home cooked food and see my friends and family daily to be easy. Not this ####. This #### sucks. With inflation and low pay, I was making 12,500 dollars a year more my first year of truck driving under Trump than my 8th year under Trump 2.0. By far my best year was 2020. Lowest expenses with gas at 1.50 a gallon and highest pay that year that I ever made. Its actually gone down every year since 2020. (With inflation factored in)

Physically, yea driving isn't a difficult job once you get good. But its the CONDITIONS you must work under. Extreme stress from 4 wheelers acting like idiots all the time wanting you to hit them so you can be sued, having to drive in horrendous weather, on terrible roads, at any time during the 24 hour day with no place to park.....THAT'S what makes it difficult.

Funny you mentioned Armarillo Black Bear.
Had the same experience pretty much. Food portions were lousy, walked out of there hungry still.

So he parked there, got ran off, and then parked somewhere else and tried to go back. Depending on his attitude when asked to leave the first time I can understand how they might not want him back in the store at all if there’s a possibility of a confrontation. But none of us will ever know what actually happened thanks to the stellar reporting of CDLlife. I suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle between “I did nothing wrong and they run me out just for being a trucker” and “things escalated slightly when they asked me to leave the first time so I moved the truck and tried to go back”.

Anyway, I dislike most people and I’ve made it this far in life without going inside of a Bucee’s, I’m confident I can keep my streak going.

The problem I have is that they say no trucks, but welcome busses, which are commercial motor vehicles, can weigh far more than a bobtail daycab, and take up much more space.

So it has nothing to do with the weight or size, they just literally HATE TRUCK DRIVERS SPECIFICALLY.
