FWIW, prostitution was legal in Nevada, but not in Henderson County. But, they COULD pick you up in Henderson and bring yo to their place of business just over the county line...

 

I think you mean Clark County, where Henderson is located. But yeah, brothels are illegal in 3 or 4 counties here in Nevada. I think the law is tied in with the population of a county.

 

It’s basically so that Las Vegas and Reno can’t have brothels up and down every street. Plus it’s probably decent tax revenue for the neighboring county.
