He failed general knowledge test ten times not the driving test. Media likes to manipulate headlines in hopes no one reads any further.

If it wasn’t for NM I wouldn’t have any inspections! Don’t know what it is but they pull me in all the time. Twice in one month, last time at 2am. Never had a problem since I run a tight ship with my truck and ELD. Maybe someday they’ll get me for a flat tire..
Make sure you renew your license with NM that’ll get you sent in.
Funny, last time east bound poe I go in (don’t have pre-pass, don’t want it) there’s a truck in front of me going super slow. He comes to a stop..me trying to be chill and patient but I finally exploded (bi-polar episode, lol)
The driver starts going again but turns left and runs over a bunch of cones blocking the bypass lane. Guard shack attendant jumps out stops the guy I could hear some yelling going on while I sat at the booth waiting for him to return. I ask the attendant if the driver was drunk and he said he didn’t know but sent him around back for an inspection…was too funny, absolutely clueless driver wasn’t intelligent enough to just follow the open lane.
The non English speakers are all over Florida it’s really bad here. Absolute trash trucks but they got plenty of money to buy stupid chrome crap and off road lights.Siinman, hotrod1653 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
New Mexico has an annual permit you can purchase for each truck. I think it cost $10.00. This lets you pass thru without paying road tax at the POE. You file quarterly report instead.

That's what I was thinking, or maybe a really close call, or possibly one of their trucks were struck.Siinman, hope not dumb twucker and Concorde Thank this.

I don't blame them for valuing the lives of their employees that much. The companies will just have to pay extra to have the trucks towed to a parking lotSiinman, hope not dumb twucker and Concorde Thank this.

Some deserve to pay a premium, lol.
Seen one on the shoulder with a blown trailer tire. Was on I-84 west right over the border in Idaho. Was a sign right in front of him “Rest Area 1 Mile”. I gave a what I would do comment over the CB and didn’t get a reply. Best I could figure English was his nemesis

I asked one of the technicians yesterday and he said no one got hurt. Sounds like they are just being proactive. Or read too many stories of law enforcement getting taken out on the shoulders.Siinman and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

I think it's probably a shortage of mechanics. They need them working in the shops instead of spending time driving all over the place.gentleroger, hope not dumb twucker, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this.

Ok, glad no one was hurt.hope not dumb twucker and Concorde Thank this.

Yes that is correct. I figured that was well known since you have to test this before air brakes test. Driving test is the one that mills will let slide is what I have seen.Concorde Thanks this.
