Many of these types that work for these security companies are Police or military washouts. They think its cool to carry a gun, some are even itching for a reason to pull the trigger. I have a very good friend that is military reserve, served a couple of tours in active combat zones. In his civilian life he works security, he has told me the company he works for is constantly flushing such types out and sending them packing.
It only takes one, especially at bad breath range. I can almost if I had the time choose where to put it based on anatomy. If for example Mr Paul Bunyan is all mad mad because he thinks I swiped his maple sryup... I can take his hipjoint out. And that will end the situation. He aint walking for a while.
PLEASE FLUSH them out. That is horrible. I bend over backwards not to bring a gun into a situation even though it's right there.
What's the whole story though? If the trucker took a swing at the guard well I can't say I blame the guy for shooting.
This wouldn't happen if truck stops would start building locations with 8,000 non-operating fuel pumps and 5 back-in parking spaces so everyone could find a place to park.
I stay there all the time it never fully fills up . I hope that security gaurd learns how to be a pretty girl in a men's prison .
Lots more of these truck stops need security guards to babysit drivers. Pretty sad but it's the reality of trucking these days.
I love how everyone is blaming the security guard without knowing what happened... My guess, and I'll admit it's 100% pulled out of my backside, is that the guard told the driver to move, the driver got physical, either taking a swing or shoving or whatever, and guard shot in what he thought of as self defense. I mean if it was just the guard walked up and shot the driver, there would have been an arrest made.....
With some of these trigger happy drivers these days maybe the driver had it coming .....welcome to dirty Harry's truckstop .
