TA Wheeling, WVm, no parking, ever!

Wheeling TA? Oh, You mean the Haliburton yard! Fuel and restaurant is all that place is good for.

 

That plus the fact that they closed the Petro across the border in PA. That Petro needed to be closed. It had beyond pot holes.

 

DiCarlo’s Pizza (I believe). Yup good stuff.

 

This … the oil and gas boom were going before that Petro closed and you could find parking at Wheeling. After the Petro closed Wheeling became packed, taking up the slack.

 

Old thread, but I'm stuck at this place. I saw the most disgusting thing here today. Restroom cleaning guy had no gloves on and was picking up used toilet paper off the floor from stalls. This about tops the cake on disgusting. I hate this truck stop...a disease waiting to be contracted at this place.

 

FYI the majority of th free spots are still occupied by junk oilfield wrecks.

 

Now the Dallas Pike wv T&A USED to be a cool stop.....

We'd Run from Chicago to Mechanicsburg and meet up at Dallas Pike For a bite and talk.......(10pm and still had places to park)

yes indeed on like the TA at Wheeler ridge which was always a TA the Paul Bunyan was a throw over from the 76 days when ta bought out the unocal truck stop chain..but it was only a matter of time until the Paul Bunyan went away the train went away and everything else went away outside and it just became your regular Old Country Pride..
