    looks like passion was right.

copilot doesn't work very good on the new 4.0 android os.

anyone have any other ideas for gps programs on the tablet?

i've installed navfree usa. that seems to work.

Pretty bad they don,t let you try thr truck version without paying , kind of a gamble to take some stranger on the internets advice. I would say co pilot truck version i got from the google play store and run on my 7 inch samsung tablet is the best gps and all around greatest electronic tool a trucker could own. Don

so other then you guys having sucess on whatever OS your running.

no one has figured out a way to make it run on ICS????

here's what i've figured out. since i was also having problems on my sprint phone running 2.3. my verizon bionic with 2.3 and now 4.04.
i uninstalled the program. plugged phone into computer and deleted the whole maps folder. then reinstalled just the U.S. version maps only. NO CANADA.

it works pretty good on my phone running 4.04 now. but this morning i tried my aunts acer iconia tablet. we now have the welcome to copilot voice prompt. but the software still isn't working. i uninstalled and deleted the maps folder. and redownloaded the U.S. version only. no canada.

she has the acer iconia tablet a200.

    ok. figured out the problem.

looks like the free copilot wasn't free after all.

bought my aunt a license key for early xmas.

all is well now. copilot works perfect on her tablet. and the features it has compared to a regular unit.

CAN'T BEAT THE $7.99 IT COST ME. that's all i have to say.

So you can use a tablet for gps without a wifi connection? Ive been wondering this. I got a Tosiba Thrive i would love to do this with. How do I find out if this will work or what I need to add?

your tablet needs to have a gps module built in.

don't ask me how you online shop for one with gps. apparently no one is listing that particular feature with the specs.

we bought my aunts online from bestbuy. at that time it was listed. it's not anymore.

there are a few apps that will work. but you do need a wifi to download the maps cuz they are huge in size.
