I've been checking out this site for about a month now. Both Millis and Roehl seem like good options. I live in MN near Rochester. I had read the Millis school was in Wisconsin. Is that correct? Reason I ask is I see TD mention Richfield...that wouldn't be Richfield MN would it?
-
No Almost its Richfield, WI just near Germantown, WI
almostthere Thanks this. -
Well day 5 has passed. We worked on Parallel Parking and Offset Docking. Very humbling indeed. The group that went on a road trip went to pick-up their load in West Allis, Wi and then onto Trenton, Oh. They left at 9 am and will return sometime tomorrow - I don't know how their progress is going. That group has not done any of the backing exercises yet. Baritone - I met Woody (very nice guy) told you said hey, he says hey back. Over and out - got homework to do.
-
TD, thanks for the update! I am pumped and counting the days till June 28. I am curious though to know if have you heard anything as to why they have gone from class sizes of 6 or less to now up to 12 per class?
-
That's interesting. 12 people in a class. Wow! The only thing I can think of is that at a 100 bucks a pop X 12 people equals $1,200. 7 or 8 people don't make it. - so Millis picks up some extra cash.
-
Not sure I get the whole $100 deal? Splain that one if you would as I must be's a little slow..........

Well day 6 has come and gone and a very difficult day for me. We did driver side paralell parking, blindside paralell parking, offset docking and alley docking. We did all these separately and the in succession starting with driverside paralell, blindside paralell and then offset docking and finishing up with alley docking. We all had our struggles due to rain, but my troubles were compounded by my eyesight. Its not as good as it used to be and I was having very bad vision lookng at the passenger side convex. Sure, its hard with good eyesight but all I could see was a small blob of blur when looking at my target points. I definetly have to get glasses. I know my eyesight isn't what it used to be but I didn't realize how bad until today. I talked with the instructor Harold - I have an old pair of glasses that may help get me through the class- we'll see tomorrow. Otherwise, I may have to see if they will let me stop and come back to a later class. It would make no point in continuing if I can't see what I need to see. To be continued...

Hope the old specs el' get you through - it would be a shame to have to start again.
Good Luck and hang in there. -
Day 7 - The glasses helped a ton. Well, we did more of the same and with the glasses I am improving on the paralell parking. I feel alot better. Anyways Harold spent some extra time with me and another who is also struggling. That's the kind of place this is and the kind of company this is. Tomorow we have our first backing maneuvers test and I feel ok about it. The out of town group came back last night and they went out again today, Woody was impressed with them and their progress Next week my group does the road trips. Can't wait. That's all for now.
