I have a 2001 freightliner FLD 120. My problem is with the right turn signal. I have everything on the back of the truck but the right turn signal. If I unplug the light and check with a test light I have a right turn signal. But as soon as I plug the light up no right turn signal. I've changed the light out and same thing is happening

Did you check the ground side of the plug or just the power side?

    Agree
If you’re grounding the test light to the trailer it won’t detect a break in the actual ground wire needed for the light

Attach the test light to the same ground that connects directly to the bulb. I bet that ground is your issue. You can also run a new ground wire to the bulb from wherever your test light is grounded at to verify.
