Same, been driving 30 years in every weather condition imaginable, and four years ago I hit a patch of black ice and in an instant all those safe miles were gone.
I look back now and I actually think it was a good thing. I had become complacent and thought I was invisible. It’s humbled me and actually made me a better driver.
Take note, driving on ice is serious stuff!

I went through something similar, with no ice, no nothing and the trailer landing gear hit the ground and bent all to poo. So, chin up. Believe me, I looked way dumber or whatever than you may think you look or feel.
