Here is some info before signing on to CRST that will be beneficial. First, CRST pays by the mile (true) but splits all team miles. So for instance your truck does 6000 miles in one week. Each driver (2 drivers total) gets paid on 3000 miles. So if you make .41 cpm then you made 1230.00. If your truck does 3000 miles (no matter how much each driver has driven) they both get paid on 1500 miles which is now (at .41 cpm) 615. bucks. You arent getting paid on all miles driven by the truck.

So compare that to a team at another mega carrier getting .50 cpm on all miles driven by truck and then getting the money split between 2 drivers. They drive 6000 miles and that equals 3000 bucks dived by 2 drivers which equals 1500 per driver and at 3000 miles its 750 a driver.

What I am getting at is that the recruiter didnt lie, just didnt fully explain the math YOU should have done before signing on and getting fornicated

 

This driver has been behind the wheel 15 years and doesn't know CRST dry van is one of, if not the, biggest sorry excuse of a trucking company out there? He didn't even think about the pay package he signed up for. Difficult to feel sorry for that.
