We had glass like that installed in Joliet at the Transport Service terminal after a driver pulled a dispatcher out from under the desk. He then proceeded to beat him to a pulp. If carriers learned to treat the driver with some dignity and respect stuff like that would be a thing of the past.

Sure the glass was installed , driver went to jail and probably will never drive again and nothing was accomplished by these actions. But yes companies need to get dispatchers like this out of position. DJarhed1964 and hal380 Thank this.

Go through security, up the stairs and the DMs, planners, safety, payroll, fuel desk and CSRs are all in open cubicles. You can walk right up to them and speak with them.Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

i saw it first hand. And the people drivers have access to are training coordinators and safety at CRE. I never met my dispatcher face to face the whole time I was there.Jarhed1964 and AfterShock Thank this.

Granted it's been 4 years since being at a CRE terminal so things may have changed.
