At the house now. The kids are going to great wolf lodge tomorrow, so I'm finally free to go fishing. Forecast looks good too.
Another three weeks out and I'm taking a week to go camping. Hope to go fishing more often during that week.

The last flower load hurt me pretty good , reminding me that I'm getting older . I had to buy a first aid kit and peroxide . Now I'm bandaged up and all better.
I guess we do flower loads most of June and July too. I didn't realize people still did flower gardens that late in the year.

I caught a few fish yesterday, one was a good size keeper bass. (Which turned into lunch today) I did my DOT re cert today, and stupidly left my phone at the clinic, so I only just now reclaimed it. I missed 4 calls from dispatch to do an impossible (now ) load. (1157 miles by Thursday morning)

So I guess I'm going to see if I can get a new delivery time or a new load.

Another flower load. 1476 total miles round trip. 10 stops. Xtra $300 on this load! It's time consuming and monotonous but it's pretty easy. Except on my knees.

To keep me occupied for the weekend, I was "rewarded" with a pueblo colorado and Sacramento final. I have to be in colorado on Monday morning. I have a feeling there will be some long nights ahead.

Well I have 1000 miles to go and I have to take my 10. I can rise early and do an over night to get there on time. California is another story

That's a hard lesson I learned about flatbedding. In spite of the supporters saying 'No, you're not!' one can be too old for some things.

I am too old for flatbedding.

Runs like this just demand using most of those 11 hours and not a minute more of those 10. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not so much.

The moral of the story: Never leave your phone in the doctor's office.

I'm in the middle of Kansas. I have 420 miles to go . I can drive again in 10 and in theory, make it there on time. Just in time.

Fortunately, The Blitz is over, so you only have to contend with 'regular' DOT officers.

Stop1 at the university was a pain. I guess college never closes in summer.
I pushed Cali to Friday delivery. So I'm taking 34 now to roll early Wednesday . Yay generous company! Paid for my super 8 room today. Good day everyone.
